Meets the second Wednesday of the month at 2 p.m. in the Luther Lounge at Grace Lutheran Church. After a brief business meeting and refreshments, the Circle has Bible study, using the material in “Gather” magazine (formerly Lutheran Women Today). The Circle also discusses advocacy issues and focuses on one issue to bring to the attention of the congregation occasionally through the Gracevine newsletter publication. Meets the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. After refreshments and fellowship, the Circle has a brief business meeting and Bible study using the material in “Gather” magazine (formerly Lutheran Woman Today). A love offering is collected in addition to the offering for Women of the ELCA – Grace Unit general fund. Women gather on the third Tuesday of each month in Fellowship Hall at Grace Lutheran Church to do simple quilting and to enjoy fellowship. Steps include cutting squares; machine sewing squares for quilt tops (at home); assembling tops, filler, and backing; tying; and sewing edges. Meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in Room #221 at Grace Lutheran Church. Whether called Prayer Shawls, Comfort Shawls, Peace Shawls, or Mantles, etc., the shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way.
