We offer a variety of ministries for our children and families with children.
Faith Formation for Pre-K through Elementary School aged kids every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. from September through May. The weekly lessons coincide with the lessons read in the Sunday services. Lessons are taught by a rotation of teachers. Every lesson includes a story, video, craft and snack.
Elementary mentoring program. Every Wednesday night from September through May. Parents who are interested sign up their student, so that a mentor can be assigned. Buddies meet at 4:15 or 5:15 p.m. every week for 45 minutes. Buddies can work on homework, read devotionals, play games or just talk. All mentors need to be members of Grace for 6 months and have a background check.
Wednesday night Elementary faith formation and fun! Wednesday nights from 5:30–7 p.m. Time is spent sharing in reading, fellowship, prayer, service and play.
Grace participates in a free community VBS coordinated by Grace, Trinity Presbyterian, St James Episcopal and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Children age 4 through completing 5th grade are welcome. Middle and High Schoolers are invited to volunteer.
Children under the age of 5 are welcome to use the nursery. Nursery is available every Sunday for all services and Wednesday evenings from 5:30–7:15 p.m. Pagers are used in case of emergencies.
Every Sunday, during the 11:15 a.m. worship service. Children aged 3rd grade and under are invited to participate in the Children’s Sermon. After the sermon the Bible Story Time leader escorts the group to the Library to read and discuss the lesson for the day. Snack is served and the group returns to church before Communion.
